What does edutainment mean for our family?

Hi, my name is Jo, and I am the Edutainment Coordinator here at 360 Play.

As a mother of three grown children, I cherished every moment of watching them grow and learn, which inspired me to pursue a career in childcare. I started out in an Early Years setting and later ran my own childminding business. Creativity is a true passion of mine, so having the chance to support children’s development needs through hands-on, messy, and imaginative activities makes my role here at 360 Play a perfect fit.

I believe that early childhood is a vital stage in life, where the skills learned can have a lifelong impact. Being part of this foundational journey is incredibly fulfilling, and I am honoured to contribute to it.

Here at 360, we believe every child should have the opportunity to play in a healthy, vibrant environment that promotes health, creativity, and development under the sneaky banner of fun.

We have sourced and developed play equipment and activities to enhance this experience so that no one visit will be the same as the last.

Some of these activities are simple to see and the benefits obvious, others are not so clear.

Our amazing 360 Street has been developed with family role-play in mind. All the shops and units are designed so that you, the parent or carer, can get involved and enjoy make-believe with your children.

This is where our ‘Parent Prompts’ are so valuable. Designed in-house to assist with play and interaction, these prompts take 360 Street to the next level. Taking the lead from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) these prompts guide adults and children through various real-life scenarios to encourage problem-solving abilities and engage in practical tasks.
